Zebra
[Equid Type] A zebra is a familiar African equine with distinctive black-and-white striped coats well-known to even to very young children. There are three species within the family Equidae and the Genus Equus: Grévy's zebra (Equus grevyi), the plains zebra (E. quagga), and the mountain zebra (E. zebra). Adult Zebra do not take well to domestication and tend to attack humans, inflicting serious bites and kicks. The striped pattern was long believed to confusion predators, but now is thought to work against biting flies.
